Village Churches

St. Nicholas, Ozleworth
St. Nicholas, Ozleworth, Gloucestershire

Covehithe, St Andrew, Suffolk

"A lofty 14th century tower, preserved as a seamark, and the gaunt roofless walls of what was surely one of Suffolk's finest churches, enclose the much smaller building - still in use - that was erected in 1672 when the inhabitants were given permission to dismantle the older church. Tower and walls are maintained by the Trust and one hopes that the rapidly encroaching sea will leave them to be enjoyed for a few more decades - Normally open." From the leaflet "Visit Churches in North Suffolk" by The Churches Conservation Trust.

Reading, Rubbing, Photographing and Cleaning Gravestones

This is a far more complex (and controversial!) subject than it would at first appear. Take a look at the following links for an idea of some of the Do's and Don't's of graveyard expeditions.
